Blue Sky Vineyard is a very popular venue along the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, famous for its Tuscan-inspired villa and beautifully manicured grounds. Blue Sky Vineyard anchors the northeast end of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail in Makanda, IL.

Blue Sky Vineyard offers a large selection of wines produced by experienced wine maker Karen Hand. Also serving Sangria, and a variety of bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Blue Sky Vineyards boasts a full menu including appetizers, pizza and dessert.  

Blue Sky Vineyard Wine Selection:

Cabernet Franc:  A savory dry red wine with hints of oak and aromas of black currant and plum.

Chambourcin:  A full-bodied dry red wine, aged in French and American oak. .

Chambourcin Reserve:  A full-bodied dry red wine, made exclusively from estate grown Chambourcin grapes. Expect a smooth roasted oak character and hints of bright cherry and vanilla.

Chardonel:  A dry white wine with aromatic scents of fresh apples and pears and a light oak character.

Chardonnay:  A dry white wine made from estate grown Chardonnay grapes. Fruity aromas.

Norton:  A bold, full-bodied dry red wine, with aromas of cedar and intense berry flavors.

Vignoles:  A clean, full-bodied dry white wine with luscious grapefruit flavors and crisp tropical aromas.

Papa's Rosa:  A semi-dry red wine made from Chambourcin grapes, with notes of black currants, cherry and vanilla.

Rosé:  A crisp, light semi-dry wine with an intense fruity nose, bursting with tropical fruit flavors.

Seyval:  A light-bodied semi-dry white wine with hints of apple and pear.

Misterioso: A medium-bodied semi-dry rosé wine. Crisp and clean with a berry nose and fruity finish. 

Traminette:  A semi-sweet white wine with a floral nose and flavors of honey and apricot. An unexpected spicy finish adds depth.

Chambourcin Blush:  A light-bodied sweet wine made from Chambourcin grapes with a light strawberry flavor.

Concord:  A sweet red wine often called America's original dessert wine, Concord is famous for its deep purple color and intense fruity flavor.

Niagara:  A sweet white wine with a wonderful intensity and depth.

Rocky Comfort Red: A vibrant, sweet red wine made from a medley of grapes.

Rocky Comfort White:  A unique, sweet blend of white southern Illinois-grown grapes.

Sweet Riesling:  A sweet white wine with floral and apple aromas, fresh fruit flavors and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Framboise:  A rich dessert wine, Framboise is often served as an after-dinner sipping wine. Fresh raspberry aromas and an intense flavor of raspberries.

Norton Port:  A rich, dense Port wine with strong flavors of blackberry and cherry.

Bread & Olive Oil: Fresh hearty baked bread with a house blend seasoned olive oil dipping sauce. 

Chicken Salad on Croissant: All white meat chicken breast in a creamy dressing served on a flaky croissant.

Ham and Cheese on Rye: Deli ham & cheese toasted on fresh rye bread.

Hoagie: Fresh hoagie style bread piled high with ham, turkey, salami, and cheese.

Pulled Pork on Croissant: Tender pulled pork served on a flaky croissant and served with your choice of Pappy LeDeaux's incredible BBQ sauce.

Pizza:  12" thin and crispy pizza crust smothered in a tangy tomato sauce and covered with your choice of cheese, pepperoni, and/or sausage.
